

Bruce was born in Irvington, NJ. He enlisted in the navy in 1966, and served in Florida, Cypress, and Korea. After the Navy Bruce worked as a tape slitter at 3M in Freehold NJ for 20 plus years while he raised his family there with his wife Maryann Thompson. After 3M closed Bruce moved down to the family shore house in Toms River.
His hobbies included Trains, model cars, and puzzles. He also belongs to several antique car clubs. Sunday dinners, holidays, bonanza games, and summertime family reunions on the boat were where he loved to be. Bruce enjoyed the music of The Beach Boys and Karen Wallo.
Bruce is survived by his daughter, Christine Vazquez, Sons Peter Reils and John Reils, Son- in- law Jorge Vazquez, Daughter- in- laws, Michele Reils and Nicole Reils, Grand kids Jeffrey Vazquez, Phil Vazquez, Gabby Reils, Jeremy Reils, and Rachel Fredrick, Great Grandkids Mario and Audrey, Niece Lisa Evers, and Nephews John and Clint Evers.
He is predeceased by his parents Louise, Father John, Sister Barbra, Brother-in-law Hank and wife of 15 years Melonie Stemba Reils.
A viewing to celebrate the life of Bruce will be held on Monday February 3rd from 4-7 at Anderson and Campbell, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ 08753. Where Family and friends are welcome to gather and share memories. The service will be on Tuesday at 10:00.
