

Carl served in the US Army and was stationed in Germany. He worked for the Newark Postal Service until he retired in 2009.
Carl was a kind, friendly man who always had a smile and kind word for anyone he met. He enjoyed people and conversations of just about anything. He enjoyed reading, watching movies, especially about History and watching the news and current events on TV. Carl loved cruising garage sales on the weekends. Carl was a great lover of animals. He had a soft and calming voice and a big and loving heart. He would be right there to help anyone who needed it.
Carl touched the lives of many. He was a loving and devoted husband, wonderful father and great friend to many.
Carl was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Angela Furia, his loving wife Diane Furia and his beloved son William Justin Furia.
He is survived by his loving son Jordan Spohr-Mehyar and his partner Matthew Nocifore; his brother John Furia and his wife Anne; cousins Catherine Bianche and Maria Napolitano; and furry children Jack, Dillon, Pippa and Scooter.
Carl touched the lives of many and will truly be missed by all who loved him.
A bright light has been dimmed today but will shine brightly in our hearts forever.
