

Born in Staten Island, Mrs. Leszczynski resided there most of her life, until relocating to her current address, almost 30 years ago. Receiving her education from a beauty school in New York City, Carmela was a self made woman and actively practiced hairdressing for her fellow neighbors in the Silver Ridge North and Holiday City section of town; retiring 2 years ago. In addition to being a beautician, she was a photographer, taking stunning photos of nature and animals, which were later published in magazines. Mrs. Leszczynski was devoted to her faith and her family, and was a proud parishioner at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church.
Carmela was predeceased by her parents Alfonse and Jennie Panzella as well as her brothers, Louis and Benjamin Panzella and sister, Elizabeth Phillips. Surviving are her husband, Zigmund; son, Patrick Fedele and his wife, Terri, of Willet, NY; grandchildren, Jessica Iovine and Daniel Iovine; sister Anne Carpiniello, and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends near and far.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 30, 2016 from 1 to 3PM and 6 to 8PM at Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River. A Mass will be offered on Monday, October 31, 2016 at 11:30 AM at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, 130 St. Maximilian Lane, Toms River. Entombment will immediately follow at Christ the King Catholic Mausoleum - St. Maximilian , Toms River.
