Carol was born in Newark and grew up in Avenel, then moved to Manchester after she became married to her loving husband of 45 wonderful years, Jim.
She was a graduate of Trenton State College where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Education and English. Carol and Jim had three beautiful daughters and Carol stayed home to raise her children. Being a mother and grandmother was her greatest gift. As her kids got older, Carol worked for a dear friend’s company, for the State of New Jersey, and Healthsouth Rehabilitation.
Carol was so proud of her three daughters, she never missed a moment in their lives, she was their biggest supporters and was so close to her “girls.” She had a beautiful spirit and a kind caring and generous nature, her family was everything to her. Her precious grandchildren were the light of her life and she enjoyed being with them especially cheering them on at all their sports and activities. Carol was also an avid animal lover and always rescued animals in need and felt comfort with them by her side.
She was predeceased by her parents Charles Geiger and Ruth Geiger of Avenel.
Carol is survived by her loving husband, James Jorgensen; children, Kimberlie Gartner and her husband Thomas of Barnegat, Michelle Jorgensen and Michael Flanagan of Lacey, Hayley Rhyne and husband Chad of Denton, Texas; grandchildren, Camryn, Brayden, and Gavin; as well as her brother, Charles Geiger of Bayville.
