Cathy A. Conklin

Cathy was born in Port Jervis, NY on May 26, 1954, where she spent many years before relocating with her family to Toms River, NJ.  She was a graduate of Toms River North Class of 1972 and a longtime resident of Ocean County.

Cathy worked for many years in the medical field as a Nurse’s Aide, Medical Assistant and phlebotomist.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Donna Orchid Conklin; her adoptive mother, Ann Ryker Conklin; her father, Thomas Conklin, Sr.; her son, Shawn M. Lewis; and her granddaughter, MacKenzie Marie Heins.

Cathy is survived by her daughter, Jessica Heins and husband, William; her granddaughters, Ashley and Amber Meartens; her grandson, William J. Heins, Jr. and girlfriend, Victoria; her granddaughter, Courtney A. Heins-Vlcej and husband, Cody; her grandson, Garrett S. Lewis and daughter-in-law, Jennifer Lewis; and her grandson, Thomas P. Heins.  Cathy is also survived by her longtime boyfriend, James Jones; her beloved extended Ruff family Jonathan, Danny and Missy, Michael and Michelle, Brian and Cara; as well as her beloved cousins.

Cathy is loved by so many and will be deeply missed by all.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024 from 4:30pm to 6:30pm at Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, 1329 Rt. 37 West, Toms River, NJ 08755.
