Chuck was a man who lived his life for the people he loved. Family was everything to him, and there was nothing he wouldn’t do to make sure his children and grandchildren had the best life possible. He worked hard, he provided, and he never stopped showing his family how much they meant to him.

Chuck was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Doris, the love of his life. Their love was something he carried with him throughout his life, and he cherished every moment they shared. In his later years, one of his greatest pleasures was taking Doris to The Shady Rest for dinner. He loved the food, but what he loved most was being surrounded by the wonderful people there. The kindness shown to both Chuck and Doris by the staff and customers meant so much to him, and those evenings became some of his favorite memories.

Chuck is survived by his children, his son Chuck and his wife Kristi; his daughter Donna and her husband Peter; and his daughter Dina and her husband Rob. He was a proud grandfather to Nicholas, Noelle, Dylan, Nina, Brooke, and Harley, and a loving great-grandfather to Robert.

Being a grandfather was one of Chuck’s greatest joys. He made it a point to never miss his grandchildren’s sporting events. He was there in the stands, cheering them on and supporting them every step of the way. His grandchildren knew that if they looked into the crowd, Grandpa would be there.

He especially cherished the time he spent playing poker with his grandchildren. Those games were about much more than winning or losing. They were about sitting around the table together, laughing, joking, telling stories, and making memories. Those are the moments his grandchildren will carry with them forever.

Chuck also treasured the friendships he made throughout his life. He had a way of forming connections with people and holding onto those friendships dearly. He appreciated the people who shared his life and never forgot those who had been there for him along the way.

He shared a particularly special relationship with his baby brother, a bond that brought him comfort, laughter, and companionship throughout the years.

To know Chuck was to know how much he loved his family. He may not have always needed many words to express it because he showed his love through everything he did. He worked hard for his children, stood proudly behind his grandchildren, cherished his wife, valued his friendships, and found joy in simply being surrounded by the people he loved.

Chuck leaves behind more than memories. He leaves behind a family that was built and strengthened by his love, lessons, sacrifices, laughter, and unwavering devotion.

He will be missed in the stands at the sporting events, around the poker table, at family gatherings, and in all the everyday moments when his family wishes they could hear his voice or see his smile one more time.

His family will carry him with them—in every story they tell, every memory they share, and in the love they have for one another.

Chuck lived for his family, and his family was truly his greatest accomplishment.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, Main Street, Toms River.
