

AGE: 65 OF TOMS RIVER, NEW JERSEY
Charles Ronald Thiemann of Toms River, NJ and Largo, FL (seasonally), loving husband and father, passed away at Hospice House Woodside in Pinellas Park, FL on Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010 at the age of 65 after a valiant 2 year fight against cancer.
He was a resident of Toms River, NJ for 44 years and a seasonal resident of Largo, FL since 2007.
He grew up in Ridgefield, NJ the only son of Charles & Mary Thiemann, both deceased, who were the owners/operators of the Ridgefield Lodge.
He served in the US Army as a paratrooper in the Special Forces assigned to the 173rd Airborne Brigade in Okinawa, Japan.
He retired in Toms River, NJ in 1992 from the Dover Twp. Police Dept. where he served as the Safety Officer under badge #73.
Later he operated CTI Investigations, a private investigation firm, for 15 years. He was a Silver Life Member of PBA 137.
He was a lifelong car enthusiast and enjoyed sunny drives to the Manasquan Inlet, NJ and Pass-a-Grille, FL.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, June Lee (Hammell) Thiemann; a daughter, Jill L. Thiemann of Toms River, NJ; a son and daughter-in-law, Chad & Lorenda Thiemann and a granddaughter, Caroline, of Plano, TX.
Donations, in lieu of flowers, can be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2010 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St. Toms River NJ.
