Christina McManus Hoffman, 66, of South Toms River, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2014 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born in Newark to Robert and Elizabeth (Reichert) McManus, she lived in South Toms River for over 20 years. Christina loved spending time with her cherished family and friends, especially her grandchildren and enjoyed collecting shells and butterflies. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Rolin Scott McManus and sister Doris Allen. She is survived by her husband, best friend and soul mate of 48 years, Gary A. Hoffman; four daughters Heather Hoffman and her fiancé John Kelly, Holly Hoffman, Katina Kowaleski and her husband Frank and Kelly Giglio and her husband Ed; her grandchildren, Christine Kamil, Hasan Kamil, Shane Drzewucki, Frankie Kowaleski-Hoffman, David Hilkene-Hoffman, Desiree Kamil, Bryanna Drzewucki, Joshua Kamil, Stefanie Kowaleski-Hoffman, Tifanie Kowaleski, Victoria Hilkene-Hoffman and Denielle DeRoide; her adored great grandchildren Kaitlyn, Dylan and Todd; and a host of many others who considered her either “Mom or Nanny”. Also surviving are her brother Robert "Bobby" McManus, Jr. and her sister Tracy Pries and her husband Mark.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Sunday, August 24 from 2-4 p.m. at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St., Toms River. A funeral service will be held on Saturday afternoon at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home. Cremation will be private.
