Consolacion “Conching” Delatonga Figueras, beloved mother, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on March 23, 1936, in Lavesares, Samar, Philippines, she lived in Jersey City and moved to Bayville, NJ. She was a loving and devoted mother, wife, friend, and the best Naynay to all her twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Conching was also known by her family and friends as a “Bingo Queen” with a sharp-witted mind—focused and strategic; she could easily manage to play ten bingo cards in one game. She also loved to tell stories about her younger years—days she spent listening to her sister sing a song titled “Hurt” by Timi Yuro, which became her all-time favorite song.
Consolacion is survived by her son, Louie (and wife Lyn); her daughter, Patricia (and husband Jonathan); her son, Melchor (and wife Carina); and her daughter, Gracia (and husband Michael).
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Louie Jay, Andrew, John Robin, Alanis, Marlou, Micah, Kristine May, Danica, Liam, Camila, DJ, and Joanna; and her great-grandchildren, Lance, Raphael, Kurt, Whayne Andrew, Marcin Luis, Matthew, and Kristopher Louis.
She is finally reunited with her late loving husband, Luis, and will find eternal peace.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2025 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River. Cremation will be private.
