Curtis Roy Pierce, 48, of Toms River, died Thursday, June 10, 2010, at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood. Born in Passaic, Curtis had lived in Clifton, coming to Toms River over 34 years ago. He worked for K.S. Fitness in Toms River as a personal trainer for the past two years, and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Surviving are his parents, Bonnie Pierce of Toms River, and Jerold Pierce of Nevada; his maternal grandmother, Jean McCann; uncle Dave McCann; and many cousins.
A memorial gathering will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, June 17 at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St., Toms River, with a blessing taking place at 8 p.m. Cremation was private.
