Daniel A. Caputo

Daniel A. Caputo, 91, of Toms River, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on August 20, 2024. He was born in Brooklyn, NY and lived in Brooklyn before moving to Toms River in 1985. Daniel graduated from Pace University and played basketball throughout high school and college. He was an Army Veteran, having served in Okinawa, Japan. Daniel was a Comptroller at Brenner Paper in Glendale, NY and retired 40 years ago. He loved the stock market, the Boston Celtics and the NY Yankees and most of all his family.

Daniel was predeceased by his beloved wife Maria of 64 years in 2019. Surviving are his daughter Lisa Caputo; 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; and extended caring relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 24 at 9:00 am at St. Joseph’s Church, 685 Hooper Ave, Toms River. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Toms River. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Toms River First Aid Squad, 11 Irons Street, Toms River, NJ 08753 in Daniel’s honor.
