Daniel P. Kelly

Born and raised in Paterson, New Jersey, Daniel lived in Bloomingdale and for the past 30 years resided in the Toms River area, with a dual residency in Florida. He served in the Navy and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Elks and was an avid sports fan. While he loved to cheer on his favorite teams - the New York Mets and the Dallas Cowboys, nothing was more enjoyable than spending precious time with his family and happy hour with his friends. Family was everything to Dan - he loved his wife, kids, grandkids and great-granddaughter more than anything. His favorite pastime was keeping up with his grandkids activities and successes. He was a proud GRAMPS!

Daniel was predeceased by his parents, Daniel and Frances Kelly. Surviving is his loving wife of 61 years, Anna "Chick" Kelly (nee Clifton); children Patti Kelly and her husband Jim Van Cleef, Dan Kelly and his wife Sharyn and Jackie Baumann and her husband Mike; grandchildren Michelle and her husband Mike, Michael, Caitlin, Robb, Megan, Kellianne, Brad and Mark; great-granddaughter Kelly Shea.

A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2017 from 5PM to 8PM at Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River. A memorial mass will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 11AM at St. Justin RC Church, 975 Fischer Blvd, Toms River. Please meet at the church Friday morning as there will not be a procession from the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Daniel's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 www.stjude.org
