Deborah Ann Childers, 64, of Toms River, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at home. Born in Hoboken, NJ, she was a longtime resident of Toms River. Deborah received her Bachelor’s Degree from Georgian Court University in Lakewood. She was a 7th Grade Math Teacher for 20 years, working at Toms River Intermediate East and Toms River Intermediate South. Deborah loved to travel and spend time with her family and cherished grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her beloved father Eugene Petersen. Surviving are her mother Ada Petersen; her son Jeffrey Childers and his wife Pamela; her daughter Katie Stein and her husband Michael; two brothers George Petersen and his wife Charlotte and Eugene Petersen; her sister Jamie Cameron and her husband Chris; and her adored grandchildren Dylan, Lilly, Bradley, Keegan and Siddalee.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St. Toms River. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home in Toms River. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Toms River.
