Her presence was passionate, compassionate, and bold—she lived for others and gave selflessly to those around her. She touched the lives of many with her kind heart and thoughtful nature. Whether it was through her years of service as a receptionist at Chelsea Senior Living in East Brunswick or, more recently, as a breakfast attendant at Sonesta ES Suites in South Brunswick, Debra’s presence was always a source of comfort and kindness to those around her.
She shared 38 beautiful years of marriage with her devoted husband, William Pacheco. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support through every season of life. Debra was a proud and loving mother to her daughters, Melissa and Alicia Pacheco, and her adopted daughter Jacqueline Johnson. Her greatest joy came from being a Grandma to her beloved granddaughter, Jewel Avery Quinones.
She is also survived by her brother, John White; her sister, Darleen Clampitt; her brother-in-law, Arthur Clampitt; and her niece Danielle. Debra was predeceased by her parents, Richard and Doreen White, whose love and memory she carried with her always.
Debra found joy in life’s simple pleasures—Spending time with family, solving puzzles, curling up with a good book. She had a deep love for caring for animals which reflects her kind and tender heart. She had a heart full of love and a quiet strength that inspired everyone who knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to honor Debra’s memory. Though she may be gone from our sight, her gentle soul, endless kindness, and loving presence will live forever in our hearts.
