Diane was born in North Kingstown, Rhode Island to Rev. Lois and Dr. Robert Hubsmith on December 4, 1959. She attended Kinnelon High School and graduated in 1978. She went on to major in Interior Design and graduated from Rhode Island School of Design in 1982. Diane’s interior design talent translated well with her many years in furniture design and sales at some of northern Jersey’s largest and well-known furniture stores. She had an uncanny talent to help her clients with their unique design visions. All her homes were designed and styled impeccably as well. She often exceeded sales goals and quotas. She was a giving and generous soul, who would do anything to help others. Diane’s assistance with our mother toward the end of her life was immeasurable. She was a fabulous cook and baker often making creations that came from the most prestigious gourmet magazines. Diane was also an accomplished artist in woodworking, drawing and painting creating works of art that were absolutely stunning. Her love of music lead her to being a talented guitar player early in her life.
On September 10, 1994, Diane married Timothy S. Nash, also from Kinnelon. Diane was a loving mother of daughter, Rebecca, of Brick, NJ and son, Jacob, of Toms River, NJ. She is survived by brother Edward Hubsmith of Denville, NJ, brother Robert Hubsmith, his wife, Mary Ellen Meyer and Mary Ellen’s son Kevin Wadsworth of Maplewood, NJ.
