

Donald M. Church, 76, of Toms River, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at Community Medical Center. He was born in Jersey City and lived in Jersey City and Cliffwood Beach before moving to Toms River. Donald retired from American Can Company in Jersey City after 27 years of loyal service. He then worked at Community Medical Center as a porter for 15 years and after retiring was a volunteer for 16 years. He was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Toms River.
Donald leaves behind his beloved wife, Christine B. Church; his daughters, Kathleen O'Connell and her husband Joe of Manasquan, Carol Durante and her husband Jay of Southampton, NY, Elaine Burleson of Roan Mountain, TN, Melissa Coffey Ingraham and her husband Garry of Maine, NY, and Kathleen Coffey Mc Laughlin and her husband Jim of Edison, NY; his step-son, Thomas William Coffey of Metuchen; and 12 grandchildren, Brian, John and Erin O'Connell, Kelsey and Jayson Durante, Cody and Jessica Burleson, Sean Coffey, Shannon and Jimmy Mc Laughlin and Jaeden and Dylan Ingraham.
A Memorial Gathering will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 1 at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St., Toms River. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 2 at St. Joseph Church in Toms River. Burial of Cremains will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Toms River. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his name may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 28 Kennedy Blvd., East Brunswick, NJ 08816.
