Donald A. McNeil

Born in New York City, NY he lived in Dumont, NJ before becoming an Ocean County resident 30 years ago.

Donald was in the Army National Guard of New Jersey. He was a regional sales manager for The Hoover Group, Cranbury for 18 years. He was sworn in as a Councilman in Dumont in 1979 and he was also a Police Commissioner.

He was an avid reader and a huge New York Mets and Giants fan.

He was predeceased by his parents, Donald A. McNeil, Sr. and Irene Kahn Mc Neil and a sister Arline Mundt.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Patricia Christman McNeil, his children, Donald A McNeil, III and his wife Jennifer, and Jennifer Nemeth and her husband Brian; three grandchildren, Kaylee and Jayden McNeil and Ava Nemeth.

Also surviving are his sister Susan Osborne and her husband Dr. Donald, a brother in law, David Mundt and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 14, 6-8 PM at HORIZON FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River.

The blessing will begin at 8 PM.
