Doug was born in Jersey City, NJ on December 31, 1942 to Stanley and Reba Roswech. He graduated from Stevens Academy in Hoboken, and went on to serve his country as a member of the US Air Force from 1961 to 1965, spending his time deployed at various locations on the West Coast. After being honorably discharged from the Air Force, he went on to spend much of his subsequent career in various roles in computer operations.
On May 25, 1968, Doug was blessed to be united in marriage to Helen (Humenik). They welcomed sons Marc and Todd, and raised their family at the Jersey Shore. Doug was a parishioner of St. Barnabas Roman Catholic Church in Bayville. He was known for his quick wit, warm smile, and always seemed to have a joke (or two) ready to share.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents Stanley and Reba. He is survived by his loving wife Helen, two sons: Marc (Meg) of Highlands Ranch, CO and Todd (Melissa) of Ivoryton, CT, and four grandchildren: Brady, Addison, Emmett and Greta. He also leaves his brother Richard, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A visitation for Doug will be held Monday, December 18, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ 08753. A Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Barnabas Roman Catholic Church, 33 Woodland Road, Bayville, NJ 08721. Interment will take place at a later date.
