Dear Kimberly, Scott, and Jessica,
What a great loss you have suffered. I was heartbroken to learn of your father’s passing. I cried for him and for you, as I did for your mother such a short time ago.
I was present when Dudley and Pam first met. Pam lived around the corner from us in Pt Pleasant Beach. We spent many summer days together. I came to know Dudley better when I returned to visit family in later years and a group of us would gather. Dudley always spoke so affectionately of you and all the grandchildren. He would share the latest news with the proverbial ‘ear to ear’ grin. He was clearly devoted to Pam and to all of you.
A regular service at my church will be offered for him. The church members will pray for his soul to rest in peace. I hope you find comfort in your memories and feel the presence of his spirit among in the difficult days to come.
Peace be with you.

Dear, Kimberly, Scott and Jessica,
I am having a difficult time holding myself together after watching that beautiful tribute video. I was with your mom the night she met your dad at a house party in Lavallette. It was love at first sight. Besides being a super nice guy, Dudley was tall, blonde, handsome and drove a corvette! What's not to love! Since your mom and I were super romantics, I have to admit I was envious of their relationship and the love they shared. They got married young, bought a house, had baby Kimberly-it was everything Pam and I always wished for in a love story. For your mom and dad that love story continued to blossom and grow into your wonderful family. Your mom and dad were taken from you way too soon, but how fortunate they were to have had all of you live so close and be such a big part of their lives. Those wonderful memories will always live your hearts and every time you catch a fish I'm sure you will be thinking about your dad with a big smile!
