

Edward Mulligan, 81, of Toms River, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Care One in Jackson. Born in Brooklyn, he lived there before moving to Toms River in 1960. Edward was employed by Dover Township Public Works as a heavy equipment operator for 30 years before his retirement. He enjoyed many hobbies, especially stained glass work; gardening; building projects and woodworking. Edward loved spending time with his family and he was very proud of being Pop Pop.
He was predeceased by his wife Maureen in 1996. Surviving are two daughters Donna Holmes and her husband Mark and Laura Jean Wardell; his son Gene Mulligan and his wife Mary; his cherished grandchildren John, Katie, Joshua, Brittany, Michael, Kyle, Riley and Moira; and his siblings Kenny, Richie, Patsy, Jimmy, Johnny and Tommy.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday, November 3, 2014 at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St. Toms River. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, Nov 4, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, 685 Hooper Ave. Toms River. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Toms River.
