Eleanor E. Borris

Eleanor E. Borris, 81, of Toms River, passed away on May 3rd, 2013, at her home. She was born in Forest City, PA, in 1931, to Frank and Mary Egnatovich. Mrs. Borris previously lived in Kearny and Kenilworth, NJ, before coming to Toms River in 1964. She was a graduate of East Orange General Hospital School of Nursing in 1952; received her Bachelor's Degree in 1970 from Jersey City State College, her Master's Degree in 1980 from Georgian Court College, and attended Rutgers University to attain her certification as a Nurse Practitioner. Eleanor retired as Supervisor of Nursing in 1991, after 23 years of service from the Toms River Regional School System. She loved and adored her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Eleanor was predeceased by her beloved husband Albert in 2002. She is survived by her son Albert and Elizabeth Borris of Moorestown, NJ; her daughters Linda and husband Alan Sitek of Toms River and Judy Bissey of Toms River. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jennifer Barozzie and husband Michael, Jamie Iannicelli and husband Christopher, Sarah Clancy and husband Patrick, Jeffrey Bissey Jr., Alexandra Borris, Ellyn Bissey, and Samuel and Jonah Borris; and great grandchildren Christopher, Carson, and Carissa Iannicelli and Matthew and David Barozzie.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Monday, May 6, 2013, at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church, 685 Hooper Ave., Toms River. Cremation will be private.
