Eleanor J. Garibaldi

Eleanor was born on December 9, 1947 in Jersey City to her parents Frederick and Olympia Mussolino. She was married to the love of her life, Stephen Garibaldi on October 6 1969.

Eleanor was a powerful presence, known for her outspoken nature and immense generosity. She was the beloved matriarch of the family and is survived by her son, Christopher Garibaldi, his wife Staci, and their daughter Sofia; her daughter, Meagan Karstensen, her husband Eric, and their son Lucas. She also leaves her sister, Carol Gigante, and her children. She is preceded in death by her husband Stephen Garibaldi and daughter Donna Garibaldi.

Eleanor’s life was a beautiful balance of strength and compassion. Known for her bold voice and outspoken nature, she filled every room with laughter, honesty, and heart. Beneath that vibrant spirit was a deep devotion to others — she made sure everyone around her always felt welcome, offering a warm and loving home where comfort and kindness were constants. Her generosity and unyielding love and spirit created a haven that will be remembered and cherished by all who were lucky enough to know her.
