
Eleanor was known as an expert seamstress, designing and making clothes for many friends in the Toms River area, as well as making clothes for all her grandchildren. She also loved making her grandchildren their Halloween costumes. They were always a hit with one and all.
She also worked as a hostess at Sir Walters in Bayville, owned and operated by her sister and brother-in-law, June and Walt Schmidt.
Eleanor is survived by her sons, John (Pat) and David (Diana), Grandchildren, Megan “Lane” Walsh (Dan), Kevin (Leanna), Daniel (Chelsea), Amy “Lane” Courtright (Dan) and great grandchildren Landon, Brody, Austin, Kenna and Emmett. Eleanor is also survived by her sister-in-law Joan “Lane” Yetman of Island Heights and many nieces and nephews.
Eleanor is predeceased by her high school sweetheart, Lawrence “Larry” Lane who were married for 69 years, her brothers John Larsen, Al Larsen, Eric Larsen, Robert “Bruce” Larsen and sisters Nancy “Larsen” Warren and June “Larsen” Schmidt.
She will be deeply missed by all.
A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
