Elsie Anderson

Elsie Anderson, age 92, of Lavallette passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2021, at Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ. Born in Piscataway, she lived there and in The Bronx and Manhattan as a child, and later lived in Milltown before settling in Lavallette in 1967.

Mrs. Anderson was a secretary in the Ocean Beach Badge office for over ten years before retiring in 1980.  An animal lover, she enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and Canada with her late husband Russell, and enjoyed documenting those travels, particularly those of the State and National Parks, through photography. She enjoyed trips to Atlantic City after retiring. 

She was predeceased by her husband, Russell, in 1996. She is survived by her daughters, Lynn Anderson-Zbranak and her husband Joseph of Seaside Heights, Gail Kwiatkowski and her husband Joseph of Kissimmee, FL, and Donna Anderson of Seaside Heights; and two grandchildren, Kevin Zbranak and Joseph R. Kwiatkowski.

Cremation was private. A memorial visitation and celebration of Mrs. Anderson’s life will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021, from 2 to 4 pm at Horizon Funeral and Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River, NJ.
