Ernest H. Regenthal, 76, of Toms River, passed away on Friday, October 3, 2104 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. He was born February 7, 1938 in Newark, NJ. Ernest served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1956-1959 and was honorably discharged. He resided in Atlantic Highlands for 26 years before moving to Toms River. Ernes t worked as an Electrician for Pennsylvania Railroad and then for Amtrak Railroad as a Foreman for 39 years before retiring in 2000.
He was predeceased by his parents, Ernest P. and Edna (Beyersdorf) Regenthal; sister, Doris Thompson; and his nephew, Robert Thompson. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary (Keays) Regenthal; his loving daughter, Debra Regenthal; and a nephew, George Thompson and his wife Sheryll of Maryville, TN.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River. A committal service will follow at Bayview Cemetery, Route 9, Bayville. Condolences may be made by visiting www.andersonandcampbell.com.
