2019, at Ocean Medical Center in Brick, NJ. She was born in Belleville, NJ, and
attended Newton Street Grade School, and Barringer H. S. where she was Class
Valedictorian. After marrying her late husband James, the family moved first to
Toms River, and later to Lavallette. Evelyn worked at Fireman’s Insurance Co. as a
Junior Insurance Underwriter, Sovereign Bank as a Personal Banking
Representative and Transworld Nurses as an Administrative Assistant.
She was a member of the Daughters of Scotia. She was a CCD teacher at St.
Bonaventure Roman Catholic Church.
She enjoyed music and played violin, reading, traveling but most of all loved
spending time with her family and friends. Evelyn was a fun loving, happy person,
who was devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be dearly
missed.
Evelyn was predeceased by her parents, James and Lillian (Erickson) Hampton;
and her beloved husband James Haag (2018). She is survived by her loving
children, James A. Haag Jr. and wife Karin McEnearney of Toms River; and her
daughter Jennifer Haag and husband Gregory Kautz of Jensen Beach, Florida; and
her grandchildren Madeline Lori Haag, Sara Elizabeth Kautz, and Matthew Jacob
Kautz.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on March 16, 2019 from
2:00PM to 4:00PM, at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street,
Toms River, NJ 08753. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to
The American Diabetes Foundation.
