Floyd enlisted in the Navy upon completion of High School. He was an engineer on a 4 man Landing Craft at the invasion of Southern France and Okinawa during World War II. Floyd graduated from Newark College of Engineering with a civil engineering degree. He was employed as an engineer for over 40 years.
Floyd is pre-deceased by his wife Carol, brother Ralph, sister- in- law Vivien, brother- in- law John Osborne, nephew Steve and his nieces Lisa and Katie.
Floyd is survived by his sister Ann Osborne, his brother Emil and wife Eileen, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Floyd possessed many qualities and talents. He was an honorable man who dedicated his life to loving and caring for his beloved wife Carol for 54 years of marriage. Floyd is well loved, highly admired, and greatly respected by his entire family.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 5 from 5-8 p.m. at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River. A 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph's Church, Toms River. Interment will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Toms River.
