Fred E. Peters Jr.

Fred is survived by his sons Timothy, (Trish), Fred Jr., (Dawn), and his “adopted son” Joseph (Genevieve), all of Toms River; his grandchildren, Timothy (Danielle) of Beachwood, Dylan, and Richard of Toms River; His great-grandchildren, Carson and Derek of Beachwood. He was preceded in death by his wife Georgiana, and dearest sisters, Doris and Ann.

Fred was born in Cranford, NJ, and his calling was for the protection of others, whether it be around the corner, or around the globe. After serving overseas with the US Army during the Korean War, he went to have a successful career in public service, where he served the citizens of his community, retiring in 1984 as a Captain in the Jersey City Fire Department. He continued the service tradition after retirement, serving as a fire inspector for the Township of Toms River.

A visitation for Fred is scheduled for Friday, December 9th from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St. Toms River. Graveside Prayers followed by military honors will be held Saturday, Dec. 10th at 10:00 AM at Ocean County Memorial Park, 1722 Silverton Rd. Toms River. In lieu of flowers, Pete would not have wanted you to waste money, and instead donate to the charity of your choice in his name.
