

AGE: 93 • Toms River
Frederick A. Rothbeck, 93, of Toms River, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012, at home. He was born in West New York, NJ, grew up in Jersey City and lived in Union before moving to Toms River. Frederick worked for Western Electric in Kearny as a tool and die maker for 42 years before retiring. He served in WW II. Frederick was a member of VFW Post 9503, a life-time member of the Knights of Columbus in Hillside, the Pioneer Club, WEREA Club, the Old Guard and Polish Club of Manchester. He was a Ham Radio Operator and he enjoyed playing the organ.
He was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth (Gyula) Rothbeck, in 1998; and his sister, Virginia Knittle. Surviving are his children, Frederick Rothbeck of Brick, Erick Rothbeck of Greer, S.C., and Patricia Rothbeck of Toms River; and his grandchildren, Apryl and Derick.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012 at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St., Toms River. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 13 at St. Joseph's Church in Toms River. Burial will follow at St. Gertrude's Cemetery in Colonia.
