Genevieve C. Barnable

Tina 78, of Toms River, full of love, laughter and kindness passed away at home surrounded by her family.

Tina was born in New York City in 1947 to the late Genevieve and George Pappas. She graduated high school from St. Columba Catholic High School

She met the love of her life John in 1961 at age 14, and they were married in 1966. Their son arrived in 1967 and daughter in 1970.

Tina and John moved to Toms River in 1971 from Lodi NJ.

Tina worked for the Toms River Regional Schools from 1980-2015 as a Secretary at High School South and then High School North.

Predeceased by the love of her life John of 59 years who passed 3 months ago, brother-in-law Donald and nephew Donald Jr.

She is survived by her children John and Kristin (Brian) and grandchildren Danny, Jason, Jess, Leah and Sarah.

Brother George (Catherine), brother-in-law Jim, sister-in-laws Joanne and Lorraine, nieces and nephews: Jimmy, Linda, Hanna, Billy, Bethanne, Michael, Sean, Suzy, Diana and Jennifer, and many close friends Annette Minasi, Anne McShaffrey, Florence Cerone, Mary Peck and Joan Frazier.

Remember me with smiles and laughter for that’s the way I will remember you all, If you can only remember me with tears, then don’t remember me at all!!

A visitation will be held at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, located at 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ 08753, on January 4, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

The funeral mass will take place at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, situated at 685 Hooper Ave, Toms River, NJ 08753, on January 5, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

The committal service will be held at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Rd, Wrightstown, NJ 08562, on January 5, 2026, from 12:30 pm to 12:45 pm.
