Genevieve "Jean" Pasko passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday morning, May 26th, 2022. Jean was born in Elizabeth, NJ and resided there before settling in Toms River nearly 50 years ago. Jean was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Jean worked as a supervisor at Adelphia Cable for many years, retiring 22 years ago.
Jean possessed a profound love for family and friends. Milestones were commemorated in comfort as Jean enjoyed crocheting and gifting blankets with carefully matched colors. Never too far away from a warm cup of tea, a homemade sweet treat and a neatly folded daily newspaper, Jean was always current on local happenings and the Yankees batting lineup. She was always ready for a casual phone chat to share recipes or discuss the latest episodes of her favorite television shows. Jean also offered a patient and compassionate listening ear. She was an observer of nature’s beauty and appreciated outdoor relaxation. While Jean was known for her sweet and gentle demeanor, her quick wit was unmatched and central to many fond memories. Jean had a quiet yet unwavering faith that guided her kind essence. Our beloved “Babci” will be missed beyond measure.
Jean was predeceased by her parents, John and Mary Kotkowski; the love of her life, Edward Pasko, 1982; her brothers Henry Kotkowski, Joseph Kotkowski, & Frank Kotkowski; her sister Sophie Callendrello; and her beloved canine companions, Maggie and Brandy. Surviving are her children, Diane Duane (Thomas) of Myrtle Beach, SC; James Pasko (Lynn) of Lexington, SC; Patricia Bennett of Point Pleasant, NJ; and Ann Marie Reinhardt (Patrick) of Des Moines, IA. Also surviving are Jean's grandchildren, Matthew Duane (Dana) of Myrtle Beach, SC; Daniel Pasko of Washington; Julie Duane Andrews (James) of Galloway, NJ; Amanda Morey (James) of Bayville, NJ; Kimberly Martino (Christopher) of Asbury Park, NJ; Kyle Bennett of Brick, NJ; Jenna Kelleher (Casey) of West Columbia SC; Nicholas Reinhardt of Des Moines, IA; and Lucas Reinhardt of Des Moines, IA. Jean adored each of her six great-grandchildren, Jackson, Jaycelyn, Abriella, Mia, Bennett, and Marissa.
