Gertrude E. "Trudy" (Licata) Hager, 83, of Toms River, passed away on Friday, September 21, 2012, at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born in Newark, she lived in Eatontown before moving to Toms River in 1977. Trudy was employed as Chief Telephone Operator for over 10 years at Fort Monmouth. She was recognized and received the 2 Star Award from the Commanding General of Fort Monmouth for her dedication and service during Operation Desert Storm. Trudy enjoyed being with family and friends and she loved her animals.
Surviving are her loving husband of 62 years Robert B. Hager; two sons Robert J. Hager and Stephen Hager; two daughters Lori Pergolese and Lynn Drobish; her cherished grandchildren Steven, Danielle, Michelle, Lauren and Anthony; and her adored great granddaughter Elle.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 27, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St. Toms River.
