

home. Born in Jersey City, she moved to Toms River at the age of 7 and has lived here ever
since. She was the daughter of the late Joseph David Faulhaber and Gwyneth Ida Cattell.
Mrs. Rogers began her career as a secretary to Benjamin Novins after graduating from Toms
River High School. For the next 10 years she worked for him only leaving his employ to start
her family. She resumed her career in 1975 as an administrative secretary in the Toms River
Superintendents Of Schools Office, retiring in 1994.
Gwyneth was pre-deceased by her beloved husband Nelson Lloyd in 1990, they were married in
1947. She is survived by her daughters Anne Worthington (Frank) and Barbara Childress
(Jeffrey). Also left behind to cherish her memory are grandchildren Andrew (Bonnie) and
Kevan Worthington, Kyle (Andrea) and Aimee Childress, step granddaughter Shannon (Chuck),
great grandson Grayson Worthington and many nieces and nephews.
She was devoted to Christ Episcopal Church since becoming a member at her marriage. She
belonged to the St. Veronica’s Altar Guild, the Women’s Group, participated and ran rummage
sales and made ornaments for the annual Christmas Fair. She was instrumental in kicking off
the stain glass window installations at the church when she wanted one commissioned to honor
her late husband.
Gwyneth loved her Toms River High School reunions and often made the center pieces. She
was a talented artist and proudly displayed her hand painted religious icons. With partner
Maurice Kassenoff, they gave slide show talks to various groups about Toms River then and
now using photographs from the past and present of well known locations. She was also a
member of the Ocean County Historical Society and was a member of the board for the
Riverside Cemetery for many years.
She also loved to travel and went on many tours to Ireland, Iceland, Germany, France, Belgium
and Austria in Europe and many states within the US including a paddle boat tour of the
Mississippi River. Gwyneth was devoted to her family and her friends giving selflessly of herself in any way she could.
Funeral services will be held on March 19, 2022 at 2:30 pm at Christ Episcopal Church in Toms
River. Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home in Toms River is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Christ Episcopal Church, Habitat For Humanity or the Popcorn
Park Zoo in Forked River, NJ would be appreciated.
