He was born in Philadelphia, PA on April 26, 1935. Harry graduated from Pennsylvania Military College in Chester, PA where he received a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
He was married to Elizabeth Fischer on February 8th, 1969.
Harry was an engineer for the US Navy/Department of Defense, and he designed the arresting gear used on aircraft carriers.
Harry had a passion for his family, his country, 1957 Ford Thunderbirds and the Philadelphia Eagles.
Harry is survived by his beloved wife Elizabeth; sons Harry R. Fischer and his wife Debbie and Gregory L. Fischer and his wife Heather; his grandchildren Erica Fischer, Kenneth Fischer, Gregory Fischer; and his brother George R. Fischer.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2017 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River. Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Toms River.
