Born in Rattlesden, England, Mrs. Magee was a war bride who came to the United States in 1945, settling in Missouri. She lived in Staten Island, NY for many years prior to moving to Toms River in 2000.
She was a member of the Toms River Lions Club, the Eye Openers, the Garfield Avenue Senior Center Monday Coffee Clutch, and the War Bride's Association.
She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Alfred (Butch) Swanton who died on December 10, 2014.
She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Magee of Toms River; her son, John Magee of Oregon; three grandchildren, Dawn Swanton, Erik Swanton, and Andrea Gulliet; and 8 great-grandchildren, Brittany, Ryan, Paxton, Vaughn, Isabella, Riley, McKenzie and Keenan.
Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Horizon Funeral and Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River.
Services will be on Wednesday at 8:30pm.
Cremation will be private.
