James Memoli, age 91 of Toms River passed away Monday, September 9, 2019 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born and raised Newark, Jimmy resided in Iselin before coming to Toms River in 1973. Recently, Jimmy was living at Brandywine Living at Toms River. Jimmy was a Longshoreman at Port Newark for many years before his retirement in 1983. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Iselin and was an accomplished bowler. Jimmy was predeceased by his beloved wife Dolores of 50 years in 2004 and his brother John Memoli. He is survived by his sons Vincent and Carmen (Laura) Memoli; his brother Tony (Doris) Memoli; his sisters Theresa VanMeter and Muffalda James. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Eric, Jason and Angelica and his great grandson Lorenzo. Visiting will be held Wednesday, September 11th from 3:00 – 8:00 PM at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St. Toms River, NJ. Funeral Prayers will take place Thursday, 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Toms River.

I was so sorry to hear about Jimmy's passing. I was one of the nurses that took care of Jimmy on the 3-11 shift at Brandywine. I really liked him, he was a sweet man. We will all miss him. Sincerely, Linda B.
