Born on August 25, 1949, in Rahway, NJ, he was the son of Nicholas and Patricia Tuorto. He is survived by his beloved wife, Karen Tuorto, with whom he built a life centered on family, love, and cherished memories. He also leaves behind his daughter, Angela Earley, and her husband, Patrick; his son, Dennis Tuorto, and his wife, Francesca; and his two grandchildren, Thomas and Avalynne, who were the light of his life.
Jeff dedicated more than three decades of service, retiring in 2008, to the Cranford Board of Education as Head Custodian. He and his wife Karen raised their family in Linden before moving to Toms River. He was known for his strength, kindness, and unwavering love for his family. He found great joy in playing the drums, and those who knew him will always remember two things: his deep devotion to his family and his passion for performing with the many bands he played with over the years. His love of jazz and big band music brought him happiness throughout his life and remained a comforting presence to the very end.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in the countless memories he gave us, the lessons he taught us, and the love he leaves behind. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
