John proudly served for the United States Navy and later on retired from the NJ Division of Motor Vehicles. He was a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxillary, Flotilla 16-2 where he served as past Commander. John was a Chevy Corvette enthusiast and was a member of Several Corvette Clubs.
John was predeceased by his first wife, Joyce Carrara (nee Milkovich). He is survived by his wife, Patricia Carrara (nee Castellano); his son, John Carrara Jr.; his daughter-in-law, Angie Carrara; and granddaughter, Jacqueline Carrara.
As per John’s wishes, there were no services or visitation. Cremation was private.
