So sorry to hear about Jacks passing..... I am not on FACEBOOK,  and I hope this gets through to daughter Kate-  I am told there is a signed book waiting for me, found out by accident although I would like to believe its a mini miracle  could you please email me as I have no way to contact you.   Jack was a very special and talented guy.

A lot of people say at Simone’s passing they will be missed. I can tell you Jack WILL BE SI MISSED by many. His humor was unmatchable - can’t tell you how many times I had to pause reading his amazing stories to collect myself and wipe away tears of pure laughter. Was privileged to meet Jack at the Springfield rally. Ride on - we K bike compadres say via con dios.

I have never met Jack, except in his great prose.  It was always a pleasure reading his writing.

Had a good time being his "Roadie" as Jack would say.  Always amazed how stories and one liners were non stop.  One of a kind there's no doubt.  Amazing person and will surely be missed.

I am so sad to learn today of John's death.  He was high school friends with my older brother, Denis. I can remember hanging out together with Jack, Denis and some other Prepsters at White Castle on Newark Avenue. He was indeed wickedly funny with his mischievous grin and twinkly eyes.  I remember him teaching me to drive on his Volkswagen beetle around Lincoln Park and Roosevelt Stadium. I think the car was light blue.  He was alternately yelling at me and saying funny stuff.  A harrowing experience but I passed my test.  I am so glad I have these happy memories and godspeed to you, Jack! Fondly, Carmel

Jack, I feel so fortunate that we shared a couple of phone calls this summer, your accent transported me back to my childhood and such fond memories of NJ. A true Irish wit. I didn't see Jackie (that's what we called him) that often, but when I did, I will always remember this - when he walked into a room, within minutes we were all laughing hysterically.  What a nice memory to have of someone. My condolences to Gerry, Eileen, and Bobby. I know you will miss Jackie terribly. And to Jackie - Godspeed on the next step of your journey. We grew up two-blocks apart and three-years age difference. The age spread made a lot of difference then. But wasn’t an issue later. 
     He used to come to my house to see my dad for classes in first-aid and the like to earn his Boy Scout Merit Badges. 
     Jack always knew how to make people laugh. He even had my dad telling his stories to my mom after he left. 
     I loved the way he wrote and cherished our bi-weekly conversations. 
     I will miss him immensely.

One of the funniest people I’ve ever known. We were first cousins and sadly didn’t spend as much time together as we should have. Loved his stories especially those family related. He added appropriate humor and laughter to the best and worst of times. Proud to have known and been related to Jackie. .

I had the pleasure of meeting Jack and listening to his stories at multiple BMW events. The stories he told around the campfires and his sense of humor will never be forgotten. RIP

I never met Jack but always looked forward to his column in the BMWMOA Owner’s News. May he Rest In Peace.

I am really sad to hear of Jack’s passing. I always enjoyed reading his column in BMW-ON magazine. I laughed out loud so many times. I once reached out to compliment him on his humor and excellent writing and was pleasantly surprised that he responded. He appreciated my feedback and was so personable. I really wished I had retired earlier so I could have met him and listened to him speak at a BMW Rally. There will never be another Jack. One of a kind. I know Jack will continue to lead the charge for K-bike owners. RIP, Jack.

In all my years on BMWs, nobody in the community has ever made me laugh as hard as author and comedian Jack Reipe. I'm so saddened to hear that he passed away. I met Jack at many BMW rallies since 2006, and always made it a point to watch his talks and eat with him afterward. He was always the spicy firecracker you'd expect him to be if you've read his work! "Conversations With A Motorcycle" and "Motorcycles Speak Louder Than Words" are both seminal works in the BMW community, all due to Jack's unique and off color sense of humor. There will never be another like him, and his passing makes a tough period even tougher....    Rest easy, my friend.

A great writer and an expected intellect.  Will not forget several in-person and electronic conversations.  His career before creative writing is remarkable.  Like so many others will truly miss him.  The world was a better place when he was with us.

Jack will be remembered for his wit and the humor he brought to all situations and all around him He will be missed and fondly remembered.

I first met Jack in person at the BMW Rally in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania back in 2011.  But we talked before that as fellow moto-bloggers and storytellers.  Jack sent me the unpublished manuscript of his first book to read and I felt honored with the trust he had in my opinion.  I think he talked more to my wife than he did me though and I could always tell he must be turning on the charm by the her howling laughter.  He was thrilled when he learned I finally bought a 1992 BMW K75C motorcycle and was almost despondent when I told him I sold it to make room for a Royal Enfield Himalayan.  He was a passionate man in regard to K-bikes.

Both Kim and I will miss him and the talks we had.  We'll have to sit down with his books again...

I met Jack far later in life than I should have, yet in the few years I knew him, we shared some incredible experiences and more than a few highly entertaining conversations!  We had many plans to have adventures and I hope one day we still will.

I am thankful to have met him and for his friendship.  He meant much to many and a whole lot to me.  Rest In Peace my friend, jobs well done!

Jack loved to talk; presentations were exceptional.  You never could tell which way he was headed or where he would end up.

Jack Riepe was a noble man, and a friend to everyone he met.  Jack and I had long conversations about motorcycles, helicopters and God, not always in that order. I will miss that unique New Jersey accent.
