Born in Bronx, New York, Joseph was a lifelong resident of New York City.
He was a skillful and successful Emmy Award Winning TV & Film Director in the Entertainment Industry.
He retired over 20 years ago from DeVoto-Weiner Films in Manhattan.
Joseph was predeceased by his daughters Denise DeVoto-Shaw and Maria DeVoto-Marshall.
Surviving are his children John DeVoto and Michelle DeVoto-Mezzettone and her husband Michael, grandson Jeremy Marshall; and his dear lifelong childhood friend, ex-wife, and mother of his four children, Nancy DeVoto-Yobbagy, who cared for him until his passing.
The service will be private.
