Joyce Alena-Menges

Joyce was born on September 8th, 1950, in Jersey City N.J. She slowly over the years made her way down the coast, finding her final home in Toms River N.J., close to the beach before passing on May 14th, 2023.

Joyce was a loving, caring, passionate, highly driven woman. She is the mother of 2 surviving sons, Steven, and Carl; 2 beautiful grandchildren, Steven and Kaitlyn who loved their Nana unconditionally; and loving daughter in law, Sheila. She has 5 surviving siblings that also loved her more than the world, Lora, Tina, Diane, Frankie, and Ralph. Also survived by 10 nieces and nephews and 12 great nieces and nephews.

Joyce loved many things, such as being surrounded by family, gardening, taking care of family pets, days in the sun on the back porch with a good book, and sports, mainly the NJ Devils and the NY Giants. She also loved cruising and spending time on the beach with the warm summer breeze, sounds of the seagulls, and the unique aromas of the ocean.

She will be deeply missed by all those that knew her and loved her. She will be in everyone's hearts forever. Mother’s Day is a very special day for everyone, but this one is very special and will be remembered by us forever. All the love in the world.
