Karl E. Ottoson

Karl proudly served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Ironworkers Local 11 in Springfield, NJ for 41 years. Karl enjoyed gardening and riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. He was a life member of Harley-Davidson Club.

He was predeceased by his wife Carol, his first wife Joyce, his parents Ernest and Lillian (Godfrey) Ottoson and his brother Ernest. He is survived by daughters Nancy Thompson (Dave) and Debbi Tavares (Al): his sister Irene “Sis” Frett: nephews Ernest Ottoson and George Frett: nieces Linda Stiles and Debbi Stroup: grandchildren Jamie Ferraro (Mike), Alexis Richardson (Greg), Scott Tavares (Nikki), Kevin Tavares (Ali) and Kristin Thompson (Eric): and 8 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday, July 13, 2026, from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 14 at 10:00 am at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Toms River.

In Lieu of Flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in memory of Karl.
