Kathy Sawka

Born in Paterson, Kathy lived there until moving to Manchester 28 years ago.

She was an Office Manager for Ocean Mental Health Services for many years.

Kathy was a member and Past President of both the Toms River and New Jersey Jaycees.

She is survived by her sister, Elaine Rivera and her husband Hector of Whiting, and her brother William Sawka and his wife Lisa of Saddle Brook; and her niece, Christina Rivera, Michelle Rivera-Ruff and her husband Michael; and her great nieces and nephews, Alexis, Jutty, Emily, Michael and Alyssa.

Cancer did not define her life.

Her tremendous strength, love, laughter and spirit remained to the very end, and will live on through all those who loved her.

Cremation was private under the direction of Horizon Funeral and Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 from 1-4 pm, with religious service at 2pm at the funeral home.
