It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kevin M Beirne who departed this life peacefully on May 15, 2025, at the age of 81. He was born on December 7th, 1943, in Jersey City, NJ to Michael J Beirne and Helen (Maguire) Beirne before he moved to Toms River NJ in 1972. Kevin was a doting husband of almost 53 years to his wife Marilyn (Toohers) whom he married in 1972. Kevin was an incredible parent to their three children Erin V. Berine, Kevin M. Beirne Jr. and wife Vicki Beirne, & Megan Hoyer and husband Keith Hoyer, as well as a proud grandfather to his six grandchildren: Landon, Madelyn, Reese, Caroline, and twins Hannah and Shea. Kevin’s three grand dogs were devoted to him as well, Smush, Barkley, and Jack, who never had to ask twice for a treat.
Kevin attended Our Lady Queen of Peace, North Alington NJ from K through High School graduation, Kevin then spent six years in the Air National Guard before starting his career in the Precious Metals industry in 1963. He retired in 2015 as the Vice President of Sales & Marketing of the Sabin Metal Corporation, East Hampton NY after a successful 53-year career. Kevin was a member of the Surface Finishing Association, served as President and on the Board of Directors of the International Precious Metals Institute, and received several awards for his contributions to the industry.
Kevin was an avid golfer and loved playing with his son and grandchildren, as well as his Wednesday group guys and bragging about his 6 Holes in One! Kevin’s most coveted role was as “PAPA” to his grandchildren where he rarely missed a game, event, or a chance to tell them he loved them. He was especially happy around the holidays sharing in the joy with the grandkids, by holidays we mean St. Patrick’s Day….and Christmas. Kevin lit up every room he entered and was always “on”, he told great stories with a twinkle in his eye, was a ham for whomever was paying attention and was the life of the party…until he wanted to leave early😊. He loved all his children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews and they loved him!
Kevin is survived by his wife Marilyn, children Erin, Kevin (Vicki), and Megan (Keith), grandchildren, Landon, Madelyn, Reese, Caroline, Hannah, and Shea and pups, his brother Brian Beirne, wife Linda of Highland Lakes NJ. Kevin was predeceased by his parents, brother Mike Beirne and wife Ginny, his siter Marianne Ireland and husband Dave Ireland.
