

Kevin August Boehm, Sr., age 72, of Toms River, died on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in Swansea, Wales, he came to the United States as an infant and settled in Franklin Township.
He lived in Spotswood and East Brunswick, and later in Hightstown and West Belmar before settling in Toms River.
Mr. Boehm was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.
He ran his own successful window cleaning business for over 30 years and was known as "Kevin the Window Cleaner". He enjoyed fishing, golf and trips to the racetrack.
He was a member of VFW Post 5700, Hightstown.
He is survived by his former wife, Kathy Lee Smith; his children, Kevin Comfort of Manahawkin, Brenda Stevens and her husband Rob of Clinton Township, Kevin August "Chip" Boehm, Jr. of Asbury Park, D'Arcy Boehm and his wife Kathleen of Toms River, and Peter Jacob Boehm of Brick; His brothers, Thomas Boehm and his wife Kathy and August Boehm, all of FL; his sisters, Carla DiMaio and her husband Joseph of Cream Ridge, and Mary Bradley and her significant other Joseph DiBartolo of Hamilton Township; and his grandchildren, Jessica Stevens, Tyler Stevens and his wife Amanda, Ryan and Sean Comfort, and Maverick Boehm; and was loved by numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation was private under the direction of Horizon Funeral and Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River.
A memorial gathering and service, as well as military honors, will be held on Tuesday from 11am to 1pm at the funeral home.
