With the heaviest hearts, we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Kyle, whose presence left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
He was truly one of a kind — someone whose energy, kindness, and authenticity could not be replicated. Known for his strong spirit and fearless nature, he lived life to the fullest.
As a dedicated lifeguard, he embodied courage, responsibility, and selflessness. The beach was his favorite place to be — barefoot and carefree always.
Beyond his accomplishments, he will be remembered most for the way he made people feel — valued, loved, and welcomed. He had a rare ability to connect with others, forming friendships that were deep and long lasting. His laughter was contagious and his smile is one we will all remember forever.
Kyle is survived by his loving parents, MaryBeth and Robert Gray; sister Katelyn Volk (Brandon); brothers Ryan (Tessa) and his twin brother Michael (Vanessa); and his beloved nephews Grayson and Landon. Grandparents: Robert and Jeanne Gray, and Richard Ward.
He was predeceased by his loving grandmother Kathryn Ward, his aunt Susan Flanigan, and his best buddy Shamus.
Though his time here was far too short, the impact he made will live on in the memories of family, friends, and all whose lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered — the brightest light dimmed too soon.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, from 3:00–7:00 p.m. at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ. A Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Justin the Martyr Church in Toms River. Cremation will be private.
