Top 10 reasons I loved Lenny 
Ames:

#10 - He drove me to school everyday of oursenior year in high school.
#9 - He made me laugh. A lot.
#8 - Despite his close-to-the-chest nature, he shared real stuff with me ... and this was 40 years ago.
#7 And on that note, he confessed to - well never mind. That's still for Len and me.
#6 - He indulged my female teenage angst by listening. Which is huge. For anyone. But for Len? Priceless.
#5 - I'm pretty sure his marriage to one of my dearest friends brought her (them) great happiness.
#4 - In senior year,I made him laugh so hard he fell out of his desk. And to make someone as funny as Lenny laugh like that is golden.
#3 - He told me at his 25th wedding anniversary party that I helped him reach that momentous event. To this day that acknowledgement is - by far and away - one of the things in my life I'm most proud of.
#2 - He had three children that were indescribable blessings in my life.
And #1 - He was my friend. And I adored him and miss him ... and hadn't seen him for awhile. I guess I'll have to wait a bit longer to do so.

Laine and family,    We got to enjoy knowing Lenny when he did some work in our Toms River house many years ago, he was a wonderful craftsman.  We are so sorry for you have lost him too soon and we pray that God will comfort you with His peace and strength.

I am so sorry. I was fortunate enough to meet Lenny once when he was visiting Christine in Huntsville.  He was such a good man. May God comfort all of his family during this time of grief.

While I cannot even imagine how much all in his family will miss him, a person of faith, one who enjoyed providing for those he loved, may knowing that he holds a place of high regard in the memories of many others be of comfort.  He was certainly a "good guy" to his core.

So shocked and saddened to hear of Len's passing. We send our condolences to Laine, Lenny, Cory and Christine, and all the family. We know he's dancing on streets of gold, and hugging our Savior.

spent many a long days an nights with lenny at the oyster creek nuclear plant. i had 20 yrs in 2018 carpenters before being forced into picking to be a carpenter or a millwright. i ended up picking local 715 millwrights  but my heart will always be with my brothers from 2018 carpenters..  will always remember lenny's smiling face   calling me casey an impersonating frank are old B'A (AND EVERYTHING ELSE)... Wich can be appreciated by my 2018 brothers..   thanks for the laughs lenny  an please hold me a spot   please say hello too my brother rich for me.  i know gods holding you in his arms..   god bless your family..  i know your in a better place!!!!!   jerry case

I am shocked and saddened to learn of Lenny's untimely death. He was a very easy going guy and a true asset to the Carpenters Union. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. My thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and family. May he rest in peace with the Lord in Heaven.

All knowing brother Lenny is certainly a keeper, however, the lord needed him by his side. If sending building materials to heaven in advance of his earthly departure by deed, his heavenly dwelling is a castle.

Laine and family, Lenny worked tirelessly for all Union Brothers through the years.  He always made time in his busy day to return a phone call,  or answer an important question.  He was truly a good man and will be deeply missed.

I am sorry to hear of Lenny's passing.  He and I worked together at Local 2018.  He was a fine union brother. Lenny was a hard worker and he and I had a lot of laughs and good times on jobs.
