Llynne C. Scheck

It is with heavy hearts and full glasses that we announce the passing of Llynne Carol Scheck who left us peacefully on June 12, 2026 at the age of 68 years young. Llynne lived life with an open hand, generous heart, and unwavering belief that there is always a reason to celebrate.

Llynne was born in Newark, New Jersey and moved to Toms River at the age of 15 where she resided the rest of her life. A graduate of Toms River High School South Class of 1976 and Georgian Court College graduating with a bachelors of science. After college she became the manager of Howard Johnson’s Hotel, and through mutual friends there met her husband Jeffrey. In 1990 she married the love of her life and had 10 wonderful years before he tragically passed away. She devoted her life to raising her three boys Jeffrey, Tyler and Lee and helped take over her husband’s legacy as the president of Schecks Carpet.

Llynne’s happy place was Orlando, Florida. Many nights were spent on the porch of her condo chatting and gossiping with her sisters and friends. She always wanted family to visit and had an open door policy for anyone who wanted to stay. Llynne believed that life’s moments were best shared with loved ones over a cocktail. A vodka tonic, a warm smile, and infectious laughter were staples of any visit to Llynne’s house.

Llynne was preceded in death by her husband Jeffrey Scheck, her mother Lesley Griffith Trout, and her in-laws Dorothy and Gary DeSilva. She is survived by her children Jeffrey (Larissa) Scheck, Tyler Scheck, and Lee Scheck. Her grandchildren Stella and Emilia Scheck. Her sisters Lesley (James) Sullivan and Robin Goode and her sister-in-laws Crystal (Dino) Ferro and Chelie Plicinski

A celebration of life will be held on July 18th at 2pm at Anderson Campbell Funeral Home 703 Main St. Toms River, New Jersey 08753 from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. In honor of Lynne’s fun loving nature guests are encouraged to wear purple (her favorite) or any bright color and bring their favorite memories to share.
