

Born in Little Rock AR, he spent his youth in Lawrence Harbor before moving to Seaside Park. He retired 21 years ago from the United Brotherhood of Carpenters & Joiners Local 2018.
Mr. Fairfield had served as a Seaside Park Councilman, was a 32 Scottish Rite Freemason, Past Master of Sunrise Lodge, Toms River, a member of Jr. O.U.A.M., and a life member and former Post Commander of the American Legion Post 351, Seaside Heights having served during WWII in the Army Air Forces.
Malcolm was predeceased by his wife of 49 years, Ethel (nee Mundy), his sons Malcolm III and Frederic. Surviving are his wife Dorothy, sons Douglas, Toms River, Russell and his wife Marie-Eve, Randolph, daughter Sally Rossi and her husband Peter, Seaside Park, daughter -in-heart Carol Fairfield, Alaska, sisters Jacqueline Senk and JoAnn Risdon, and 5 grandchildren Eric, Daniel, Sarah, Nicholas and Spencer.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday, December 13 at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St. Toms River. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at The Union Church of Seaside Park, 47 4th Ave., Seaside Park. Burial will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park in Toms River.
