Dearest Sally & Peter, Eric, Sarah & Danny, and Fairfield Family & Friends,

Please know that your friends share deeply in your grief for the loss of your beloved and devoted father, father-in-law, husband, grandfather, friend.   We are sad to hear about the terrible loss of Mac; please know that we are hurting with you.   

Love is a fabric that never fades, no matter how often it gets washed in the waters of adversity and grief. We personally know death leaves a sting and heartache that is difficult to heal, but Love leaves sweet, wonderful memories that no one can steal.  May the precious memories you hold in your heart help soothe your soul at this difficult time and in the rough days ahead.

Mac was a great, loving, giving man and will be dearly missed by everyone that was blessed to know and love him. He was certainly a man of great significance with service and loving devotion to his country, his family, his church and his community.  You and your grieving family and friends continue to be very much in our thoughts and prayers.

May you feel the warm embrace of loving memories and hear happy echoes of the great times shared together with your father and your loving family and friends.  May Malcolm forever rest in peace.  May thoughts of him forever bring Love, Light and Laughter into your lives.

Dear Fairfield Family,

I cannot express my condolences more sincerely.  I happened to discover the news about Mr. Fairfield while retrieving information about another family friend who passed last week.  My thoughts immediately traveled back to many Christmases ago, when I spent an early Christmas Eve with my dear friend, Rusty, and his parents.  I was offered the help of decorating their holiday tree, which made me quite, but humbly, happy.  They had dinner prepared and some tasty sweets, all of which made their home more welcoming and comfortable.  In the midst of the holiday cheer and decorating, I managed to lose a ring I was wearing somewhere in the tree. The decorating turned quickly into a "search and rescue" for my ring, and if memory serves, Mr. Fairfield found it for me, coupled with a giggle and a bit of advice.  I still have the ring and I am blessed with this memory. I wish you all, the comfort of his memory and love, and the peaceful moments ahead.  God Bless.
