

Born in Elizabeth, Dottie moved to Toms River in 1966.
Prior to her retirement, she was a residential manager for 21 Plus, Toms River for 17 years.
She also managed the books for her husband's construction business, Barry Grand General Building Contractors, and worked for United Water of Toms River and Mon-Oc Federal Credit Union.
She an active member of St. Luke's RC Church, Toms River, as well as a member and volunteer of the parish Saint Vincent DePaul Society. Dottie volunteered for Deborah Hospital and the Caregivers of Ocean County. She was also an active member at the Toms River Senior Center where she participated in art classes, dance events, and other activities.
She was predeceased by her parents, Gaetano and Mary (Zadari) Gaetano, and her brothers, Frank and Dominick Gaetano.
She is survived by her husband, Barry Grand; three daughters, Donna Martin and her partner Angelo Nappi Jr., of Toms River, Michele Leahy of Beachwood, and Christina Grand of West Palm Beach, Fl and Jamaica; eight grandchildren, Jessica, Stephanie and Samantha Martin, Rykkeyyia Grand and Koreyah Lipsey and her husband Larry, and Patrick, Melissa and Cil Leahy; five great-grandchildren, Jahliyah Stevenson, Zaymir Eason, Anaiyah Grand, Ariyah Lipsey, and Alyanna Lipsey; a brother, Anthony Gaetano Sr. of Clark, NJ; a sister, Catherine Maccio of Manahawkin; and an aunt, Antoinette Kizima of Roselle Park.
Viewings will be held on Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 at Horizon Funeral and Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:15 am Friday at St. Luke RC Church, 1674 Old Freehold Road, Toms River.
Interment will follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
